Listen "1 Samuel 3:1-10 – “Speak, LORD, for Your Servant Is Listening” – January 21, 2024"
Episode Synopsis
One of the simplest characteristics of a Christian is also one of the hardest: Listening. Are you a good listener? Listening is harder than it sounds. Isn’t it more satisfying to have others listen to us than to have to listen to them? But listening is vital for a Christian, because our faith is based on God’s Word, not on our words. In fact, faith itself comes from “hearing the message” (Romans 10:17). If we want to keep growing in our faith in Jesus, it’s important to set our opinions aside, close our mouths, and listen to Jesus speak to us in his Word. Like Samuel in the Bible, God wants us to learn to say, “Speak, LORD, for your servant is listening” (1 Samuel 3:9). I hope you can listen to this sermon encouraging us to listen to God’s Word. God bless you!
