Episode Synopsis
On this episode, I have the pleasure of being joined by Ty Smilanic (6:45). Ty is a top ranked NHL draft prospect, being projected as a potential first round pick in the 2020 NHL Draft by many experts. Ty explains his journey during his draft year with the United States National Development Program (USDP-18), which includes many adverse moments including having multiple injuries and having scouts watching his every move. Nonetheless, Ty uses this adversity as an opportunity to grow, learn, and ultimately, maximize his potential as he moves onto D1 NCAA hockey with Quinnipiac University for the 2020-21 season.
