On this episode, I have the pleasure of being joined by Andrea Carey. Andrea is a certified Canadian inclusion professional, in which her expertise focuses in on inclusion for indigenous participants and people with disabilities in sport and exercise, as well as physical literacy. Andrea is the director of operations and special projects for the Sport for Life Society. On top of this, Andrea also serves on the BoD for the Canadian Paralympic Committee, and serves as a keynote speaker around inclusivity.
On the podcast, we discuss creating cultural shifts in Canadian sporting culture, the current climate around inclusion in the NHL, and grassroots level coaching perspectives. As well, we discuss her work with the Canadian Paralympic Committee, physical literacy, and 'risky play'.
