Listen "M3 | Getting Started"
Episode Synopsis
You’ve passed Step 1! You currently know more about basic science than you will for the rest of your life. You’re ready for the wards. Tune in to hear what Robbie, Madison, and our guest host, Adam Price, have to say about the 3rd year of medical school. Also, don’t forget to clean your white coat!Cleanup15:00 - Students are encouraged to take care of their own health and are able to request excused time off for healthcare appointments during M3 clinical duties. All of this is detailed in the policy for excused absences (see Student Handbook for a complete explanation).47:00 - Keep in mind that the type of information (such as a preliminary diagnosis) you share with a patient can depend on many factors (e.g. your level of training, the disease severity, particular patient, setting, attending, etc.). We recommend careful consideration before sharing an assessment with your patients. It’s not a bad idea to let them know that you need to discuss your A&P with the attending physician first. We do it all the time!Send us a text
