Listen "Now You Can Be Good:Gwen Schemm"
Episode Synopsis
Gwen Schemm played soccer at Frostburg State University in Maryland. She was, like many athletes, a high-achieving perfectionist. She spent much of her life seeking external validation from awards, praise, and perfect grades. Transitioning to college was difficult and when she started to struggle with her mental health she felt like she was supposed to be able to do everything on her own. Through counseling and support she learned that she is good enough without all the achievements and that she had the power to quiet her inner critical voice as she amplified the voice in her telling her she is strong and worthy. On this episode of Unit3d, Gwen shares her story of struggle and triumph.
