Romans 8:1-12 provides COMFORTING ASSURANCE to us as believers.
 
In Chapter 7, we see the brutal reality of our struggle with sin. We will still have the pollution and presence of sin in our lives until the day we die.
However, we have been set free from the PENALTY and POWER. As a result:
 
There is NO Condemnation for us---ever.
We are in a permanent position of acceptance by the Father.
We are united to Christ in a vital, powerful relationship.
We have the Holy Spirit living inside of us.
We are new creations in Christ.
Therefore, we should LIVE like this. We should be grateful for this amazing grace, resist sin in our lives, and, by the power of the Spirit, strive to glorify God with the totality of our lives.
