Listen "Real world real time data -- with Java/Vertx"
Episode Synopsis
The Cambridge city data prototype demoed at last years Tech Talks (with real-time position data for the region's buses) has been re-architected into a production-ready platform that takes full advantage of the server-side Java/Vertx libraries for a real-time agent-based modular system with web user access. The platform combines the robust production quality of Java with library support for message passing between lightweight threads extending out to the user's browser, providing essential support for end-user web pages and apps that are reactive which is a good fit for the City event-driven information being communicated.
