Listen "70: The Killers (1964) and The Thing (1982)"
Episode Synopsis
Text Matt & Adam!"Good Remakes" is this week's theme for Two for the Road: Movies with Matt and Adam. "The Killers" (1964) is a remake of a 1946 film by the same name. It's not as good as the original, but is worth a look as both M&A thought Angie Dickinson stole the show. John Carpenter's "The Thing" (1982) is a much better version of 1951's "The Thing from Another World". Matt had never seen it, and was surprised how much he liked it. Next up "Movies with Vignettes", as we watch Richard Linklater's "Slacker" (1990) and Robert Altman's "Short Cuts" (1993). This may be the first show that Adam's film is older than Matt's.
