Prianka shares her journey of launching Mend Packaging with her college friends, Rishika Reddy and Rhea Kothari, in 2020, after noticing the unnecessary cardboard waste generated by online deliveries. She explains how Mend Packaging uses recycled, biodegradable, compostable, and recyclable materials to create innovative packaging solutions for brands across the world. She also discusses the challenges and opportunities of operating in a male-dominated and fragmented market, and how Mend Packaging is working towards reducing the environmental impact and carbon emissions of the cardboard industry. Prianka also gives us a glimpse of the papermaking process, the forestry and tree harvesting practices, the recycling and supply chain management, the forest management and certifications, and the industry and conservation coexistence that are involved in the production of cardboard packaging.
