Listen "Heather : Healthcare Access"
Episode Synopsis
Many people in the United States don’t have access to preventative healthcare or treatment (Healthy People, 2030). In this episode, we talk to and toast Heather who is increasing access to health care.
During the average 5-day cycle an individual uses 20 tampons - or 1 tampon every 6 hours. That means that in Heather’s school of 200 students who bleed, they would use 36,000 tampons in the 9 months school is in session – far more than the 500-750 pads Heather's school is allocated.
