Dr. Dev B Pahlajani is a world-renowned Interventional Cardiologist of India. He is the head of the department of cardiac catheterization and interventional cardiology at Breach Candy Hospital, Mumbai, since 1983.
He was a Professor of Cardiology at Lokmanya Tilak Municipal Medical College, Mumbai.
Pioneering Interventional Cardiology in India, he performed the first coronary angioplasty in India, on February 6, 1985.
He received the Bombay Metropolitan Junior Chambers award, 1991 for his outstanding contribution to the field of science & medicine.
He is the recipient of the First Dr. Jivraj Mehta Gold Medal Award for outstanding services to medicine by the Association of Physicians of India (2014),
He also received the Lifetime Achievement award from the Cardiological Society of India, in 2015.
He has published over 170 papers in reputed Indian and international journals.
