Among enthusiastic Christians, some have the idea that being "bold" in your faith is the same thing as yelling at people from the street corner.  When we take a look at the Bible, there isn't a lot to support this style of "ambush evangelism" where we scream about the Bible to every stranger who crosses our path.  Even in the boldest examples of Christ's apostles, we see individuals who through their testimonies, and God's timing, were able to reach the masses.  So many have been hurt by individuals who mean well but lack the gentle tongue talked about in 2 Timothy 2.  We must live up to our obligation to spread the gospel, but being careful to do so in a way that those we seek to reach understand that we are sharing Christ with them out of our love.
