Listen "Brian Irwin - After Dispensationalism: Reading the Bible for the End of the World"
Episode Synopsis
Brian enjoys guiding students toward a better understanding of the culture and setting of the Bible and helping them acquire the tools to exegete and apply it in a responsible and life-changing way. His areas of teaching and research are Old Testament interpretation, Hebrew, Joel and Amos, eschatology, and Israelite history and religion. Brian is frequently invited as a guest lecturer and preacher in a variety of denominational settings. He is an active member of Glenbrook Presbyterian Church, Mississauga. In this episode we discuss how his view of the end times has moved away from dispensationalism, why eschatology matters, reading the Bible literally, the time of the gentiles (Luke 21.24. Ro. 11.25), the re-establishment of the nation of Israel, the Gog and Magog war, Ezekiel’s temple, the four horseman of the apocalypse and much more!
