Jacob has selfishly put his whole family in grave danger by choosing this horrific path.What we see before us is a cruel horrible story. It shows us what we are all capable of when we choose the path of compromise and disobedience.God lovingly overrules. Jacob has no other option but to move ahead in obedience to Bethel.
