Her research aims to provide useful recommendations for policymakers to improve the well-being of Latin American countries and their people at home and abroad. Dr. Blanco’s research has been published in peer-reviewed academic journals and she has received funding from institutions such as the National Institutes of Health/National Institute of Aging and the United States Agency for International Development, among others.
About Destiny Lara
Destiny is AVP, Financial Education and Participant Experience for Pacific Life. Destiny is responsible for the pricing and design of Pension Risk Transfer products as well as defined contribution plan initiatives. Destiny is spearheading the strategy to improve equity in financial education for all ages, and overseeing all aspects of the participant experience, including education on the value of lifetime income. Destiny joined Pacific Life in 2011.

She is passionate about helping individuals and families reach their financial goals by providing sound research-based financial education. Her research focuses on longevity insurance, household asset allocation decisions, and financial well-being. Qi holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from Donghua University, a master’s degree in personal financial planning from the University of Missouri, Columbia, and a doctorate in personal financial planning from Texas Tech University.
