In April, 2020 when we were all seeing a surge in COVID-19 cases around the world, I invited Dr. Poornima Bajwa, a resident physician at UC Davis Medical Centre in California, on the show to get an expert’s opinion on this novel coronavirus and understand what healthcare experts were witnessing on the ground. Dr. Bajwa spoke at length about dealing with this crisis and the precautions undertaken by her and her colleagues at the hospital. Unfortunately, towards the end of 2020 she contracted COVID-19 and her experience of dealing with this virus was nothing like she expected. So I invited her again to Vision-nari and in this episode she shares everything that transpired since we last spoke - her encounter with COVID-19, residual effects of this virus, her experience taking the vaccine shot, and reasons why we should trust the vaccine.
