Has anyone ever given you power? Maybe it was at home or in school or at work. Power is a big deal! History has been defined by people's use or abuse of power. So how do you use the power you have been given? This week in church we will discuss the power and authority that keys symbolize. In the scripture for this week, Jesus tells Peter that he will give him the keys to the Kingdom of Heaven. Did Jesus hand Peter a physical set of keys? Probably not. But the symbolism is still there...Jesus gave Peter authority in the Church. Peter had to use his authority responsibly and for the glory of God. How do we use our authority responsibly and for the glory of God?
