Hey there! Welcome to the Unbalanced Act Podcast! I’m your host Jessica Fox and thank you so much for being here. Why unbalanced you might ask? I am a future holistic health coach who has been on a rollercoaster trying to heal my hormonal imbalances naturally. I have been diagnosed with PCOS for the last 3 years and I was always told I needed to be on medication to help keep my symptoms under control, but something about that never sat well with me. There was a reason my body became so unbalanced and I was determined to fix it, naturally.
This podcast is about how diet plays a huge role in aiding our body to heal. We are what we eat. Oftentimes, we run to use medication for everything instead of giving our body the chance to heal itself, which it can do so beautifully. I will be diving into the common symptoms and mental aspect of having PCOS because it can feel really lonely and defeating sometimes, but I want to remind you that you are never alone. In addition, I will be showcasing how beneficial diet change, specifically a plant based diet, is for not only us, but for the planet and animals as well.
You can expect to hear from me each week, where I will share how food can be used as medicine. There will also be guests who have used food to heal themselves from chronic illnesses and medical professionals who use food for healing in their practices.
I started this podcast because I felt and continue to feel alone on this journey. I used to play the victim instead of focusing on the fact that I can heal, now I have seen such an improvement from focusing on healing foods. I want to show you that you can heal with food too. Having someone to relate to on a healing journey is so important and makes the process a lot less daunting. I hope you learn something and realize how strong and capable your body is to heal itself.
