In this chapter Ravin and I discuss the multiple layers of the amazing movie "Love Jones." Before recording this chapter; I asked myself what happened to black love stories. Black love has become an example of toxicity by way of reality shows. This is movie is an example of what takes place in blending the arts, friendships, and love. In my opinion, "Love Jones" is a movie that was instrumental in blazing the trail for several black love stories that would be released in the years to follow. Despite, this movie not being an immediate success it has gone on to become a cult classic. It is my hope that this deep-dive conversation will encourage you to revisit or watch the movie for the first time. This is a movie for the (culture).
