Listen "10. How to Awaken from the Dream, Part Two"
Episode Synopsis
One who desires awakening makes spiritual practice the focus of their daily life. Today’s message refers to that as devotion. Devotion is choosing to live your life from within. We awaken from the dream through this devotion.
Today’s message also says that devotion is a slow process*. That means when we are devoted, we aren’t quick to react. Instead, we check within before responding to any outer stimulus. Instead of living from the fast-paced chaos of mind, we are deeply surrendered within.
Excerpts from the How to Awaken From the Dream, Part Two message from Inner Ramana:
*"Devotion is a slow process. I do not mean to say it will take many, many lifetimes to wake up through devotion. I mean to say that devotion is a slow process now in every moment. It slows time by slowing the mind. And with practice, experience becomes richer. You might liken it to enjoying a full-flavored meal more when each bite is taken slowly and held in the mouth while you enjoy the richness of its flavor. This is how life becomes when the busyness of the mind is absent and does not interfere."
"The mantra will help to slow the mind and pull focus inward, which is devotion."
When Regina says "NTI", she is referring to the book The Holy Spirit's Interpretation of the New Testament: A Course in Understanding and Acceptance. You can learn more about NTI here:

Assignment for week 10: Continue the mantra and surrender. When you get lost in thought, practice asking what is the ‘I’ that wants to remain lost in thought, or anything else that helps you to notice the difference between the false self that's getting lost in thought, and the true self that wants to be present.
