Zak's book Called Up: Ballplayers Remembering Becoming Major Leaguers is the stories of 109 baseball players who share their individual experiences of how they were called up to the big leagues. For the book, Zak interviewed 149 players, choose 109 stories for the book and created a unique baseball collector's item for fans of all ages.
Zak's next book will be about baseball players and their transitions into a different career after baseball and the title of this work in progress is Next Up, which is set to release in 2026.
