In October 2020, the New York Post published a series of articles based on emails and other material allegedly found on a laptop computer belonging to Hunter Biden, the son of then-U.S. Presidential candidate Joe Biden. The articles made a number of claims, including that Joe Biden had met with an executive of a Ukrainian energy company while he was Vice President, and that Hunter Biden had attempted to use his father's influence to gain access to high-level Ukrainian officials.

The articles were met with immediate criticism from the Biden campaign, as well as from some media outlets and fact-checkers. The Post admitted that it could not verify the authenticity of the emails, and several experts expressed doubts about their authenticity. The laptop was later revealed to have been turned over to the FBI by Rudy Giuliani, an attorney for then-U.S. President Donald Trump.

The Hunter Biden laptop scandal remains unresolved, and the true extent of Joe Biden's involvement, if any, is still unknown. However, the scandal has raised questions about the ethics of both the Biden and of the media outlets who published the story.The Hunter Biden laptop has been exposed with the truth.
