Serap Görünme is a self taught photographer based in Turkey. She’s been capturing the underwater wonder since 2011. Her journey has started with scuba diving in Kaş, where she grew up. After a few years spent on scuba diving, she has deeply connected with free diving and mostly takes her photos in one single breath. Apart from the fascinating colours of underwater, her photographs are in black and white. It depicts the duality of darkness and light in human nature. In other words, she explores the meaning of life and death, presence and absence in the deep.
