Episode Synopsis

Send us a textAs you've seen, Season 3 is dedicated to my father, Mike Jacox, who passed away late in 2021. I Love and miss you, Dad.Today, we got the opportunity to speak with Dr. Jeremiah Stokes, an LMHC (Licensed Mental Health Counselor). Jeremiah is a former athlete, a father of three young children, a youth football coach, and a husband to his beautiful wife. He is currently a sole practitioner serving couples through a divorce, family mental health, high school, and college athletes. This episode is packed with so much!  Jeremiah opens up to share his story of losing his father, which spoke to me given my father's recent passing.  Additionally, Jeremiah vulnerably shares in 2016 how his wife battled stage three breast cancer and the impact that had on him as a man, father, husband, and businessman.  We explored his faith and the positivity his faith has had on his life.  He also shared a powerful book that spoke to him, called "Whole-Brain Child," written by Dan Siegel.  Jeremiah closed our conversation with how impressionable kids are and how we must be mindful of each unique situation they go through.  Lastly, we have to learn how to navigate our kid's personalities, have balance as fathers, and be comfortable going deeper with our emotions. To connect with him, you can reach Jeremiah at [email protected] or via phone at 407-205-7734.Established in 2006, Acme Homes WAOne of the most value-based home builders in the state of Washington!
