Listen "Ask for help to find clarity and purpose | Asha Wilkerson, Esq."
Episode Synopsis
About this Episode:
When we’re trying to find our purpose, we need people to help us make sense of things, overcome hurdles, and see the light. We must understand that this journey isn’t one we walk alone, and that there are people willing and able to assist us in the process of finding our North Star. By not asking for help, we are only holding ourselves back. We have to get over the emotion of feeling like we’re a deficit if we ask for help, because no one knows everything. By asking for help, we actually give other people permission to serve us, empower us, and offer wisdom, thus, helping them fulfill their own purpose.
About this Guest:
Asha Wilkerson is an attorney, educator, and speaker who equips emerging leaders with the tools they need to make a difference in their lives and in the world around them. When colleges and universities want to show their student leaders how to develop into agents of change, she is the one they turn to.
Asha's legal career has been centered on human rights with a focus on assisting in the empowerment of underserved communities in countries such as Costa Rica, the Netherlands, Haiti, and Cuba. While running her own practice, The Wilkerson Law Office, Asha was recognized by Super Lawyers Magazine as a Northern California Rising Star for six consecutive years. She was also honored by the Wylie Manual Bar Association as Attorney of the Year in 2019 and by the Sacramento chapter of the National Lawyers Guild with a Social Justice Award in 2020.
