Listen "Being a patient when you're a clinician"
Episode Synopsis
This might be the most important episode I think I've ever made of the podcast. In it, I am lucky enough to speak with Liz O'Riordan, who worked as a consultant breast surgeon, until she was diagnosed with breast cancer herself.
Liz talks frankly about what it is like being on the other end of treatment, as a patient with expert knowledge of the disease, how we can look after our colleagues at work, and how we should talk to patients about diagnoses and dying.
It is a frank discussion of the realities of going through chemotherapy, coming to terms with a cancer diagnosis and how to look after ourselves and our patients.
Liz has a fantastic website and can be found on Twitter @Liz_ORiordan or Instagram too
