In every generation, and in daily living, we could identify with the sentiment that "these are difficult times". Whether it is related to international or current affairs, or experiences in your immediate surroundings, there are many reasons why we may lose heart or become skeptical.
In the end, where we have the most personal control is in the act of keeping our heart open. We've felt the value of it when we successfully accomplish it, and we see the value it brings others when they do, yet, it is a muscle to be built and a practice to choose.
