Episode Synopsis
Kathy Ludwig has been involved with the Ontario wheelchair basketball program since 2010. In that time, she has helped young athletes develop the skills they need to play at the highest level. She has led team Ontario into two previous Canada games winning a silver medal in 2019. Kathy has agreed to coach at her third Canada games in 2023. Not only will her team be younger this time around she has also had to navigate their preparation in the middle of a pandemic to be at their best in 2023. The Tim Hortons briar men’s national championship has reached the final weekend. We will chat about which teams are the cream of the crop and poised to win the briar championship and which teams have fallen a little short of their expectations. Plus the topic will be raised regarding the free guard zone and how we would like to see it modified to promote more offense! Sportsnet’s fan 590 radio station has made the decision to cut radio specific broadcasts for the Toronto Blue Jays. How does that affect the blind and low vision community and how can you make a difference? Baseball fan and friend of the network Marcia Yale will join us!
