Let’s talk about disappointment….Have you ever been disappointed?Think about the Israelites – on one day Israel is fresh from a great victory. Pharaoh’s army has been obliterated by the Red Sea. The children of Israel are now safely out of Egyptian territory, with no one in pursuit of them; they are now finally free. Moses and his followers are finally able to relax. From this point forward the pace of the Exodus slows down considerably. They are no longer in a hurry, no longer on the run.They have a cause to celebrate, they are on the mountaintop.Having rested and recuperated from their all-night ordeal at the Red Sea, Moses rallies the people to begin to move again.He leads them into the Wilderness of Shur, where the Israelites face yet another trial.
