At the time the podcast was recorded, Steve Serbic was an Assistant Fire Chief with Surrey Fire. Currently, he is the Fire Chief with Esquimalt Fire and has been on the front lines of the fire service for over 25 years. As a mental health and wellness advocate, Steve has shared his story with thousands of people across North America. In the fire culture or any workplace, Steve believes we can work together to break down the misconceptions attached to mental health and dispel the fear of stigma, empowering people to speak up and ask for help.
