Listen "Shakespeare and the divine with Prof. William Kolbrener"
Episode Synopsis
Prof William Kolbrener, is an English professor at Bar Ilan University, who’s published books on Milton and Soloveitchik among others. We recently worked on his Alpe course - Shakespeare and the modern individual which opened my eyes to the world of teaching literature.
I wanted to talk to Bill about what it’s like teaching Shakespeare and that led us down a fascinating conversation on the divine, what makes great works of art and his framework for teaching which I loved. as well as the importance of teaching the humanities.
