Season 5 of The Mara Prose Podcast kicks off with Cherie Laurent, an award-winning transgender entertainer with an exotic heritage of Persian and Arabic. Her heritage was influential in catapulting her to a successful career in film production, television series, and hosting The Ma Cherie TV Show, as well as The Don and Cherie TV Show.   Cherie has also appeared in Billboard Magazine New Zealand, in TV commercials for Wattie's Tomato Sauce and McDonald's, in TV series such as Xena Warrior Princess & Hercules, and as a singer on Australia's Got Talent.  She has also released several music tracks showcasing her talent as a singer/songwriter with international hits such as Dreams Keeps Us Alive and Down on Me.
