Send us a textThis is part two in this new series as we begin going through the book of John to see what the inspired Word of God reveals to us about the life, ministry, and death of our Savior. The Gospel of John is full of deep insights into the life of Jesus Christ. It reveals to us, in some ways, a deeper understanding of the character of Christ than, perhaps some of the other Gospels do. At times, the Gospel of John also reveals a more theological understanding of Christ.  John was particularly close with Christ during his earthly ministry. Because of this, the Gospel account that John writes records is very revealing, informative and impactful in understanding the God we serve and worship. Throughout this study, allow your hearts to really soak in what is written and what we can learn about our Lord Jesus Christ.With that said, today we will be studying the character of John the Baptist. John the Baptist appears in all four Gospel accounts so, it seems like he is a pretty important figure. But who was John the Baptist? What does the Gospel of John say about him? And is there anything that we can learn from John the Baptist or was he just the guy who prepared the way?
