Dame Evelyn Glennie is the world’s premier solo percussionist, performing worldwide with the greatest orchestras, conductors and artists. Evelyn was eight when she started to lose her hearing, and 12 when she was diagnosed as profoundly deaf. But in her own words “losing my hearing made has made me a better listener and musician”.Evelyn is a double GRAMMY award winner and BAFTA nominee and was awarded an OBE in 1993.
