Listen "What's My Type?"
Episode Synopsis
Despite the great advancements in sciences, we still struggle to fully understand the human brain, making it hard to scientifically justify many aspects of human behavior, including personality development. Therefore, scientists created psychometric tests that facilitate understanding to aid in mental health treatment, job training and placement and self-knowledge. To be more specific, personality test were designed to systematically elicit information about one's preferences, interests, emotional makeup and motivations. But, to what extent are these tests accurate? And should they be taken seriously? Join me in an episode where I take my first personality test ever, share my personality profile with you, briefly tackle the theories of personality development and criticize personality tests.
