Listen "Is Extinction Our Destiny? — Part 2"

Episode Synopsis

Animals and people have been living together for thousands of years, but the past 100 years have been extraordinary in the amount of change in those relationships.  Why would you guess?  Understanding the history of the human-animal relationship is key to the preservation of nature, and reducing the drastic decline of native wild animal and plant populations.  It is instructive to look at the enterprise of extinction management today. You could call it The New Noah’s Ark.  The animals that are saved from extinction will be the animals we choose to save.  Listen in to find out what’s our criteria for what gets saved.  Scientist tell us that the vast majority of species and their ecosystems can be saved with one bold proposal. It may seem radical — however, it may be more radical if we don’t do it. Tune in to see if you agree.
