Anna and Simeon see what God is doing, when it doesn't look like anything at all. Infants are born somewhere in the world every 4-ish seconds. Yet, Simeon and Anna had profound religious experiences encountering the infant Christ. They could see through the unlikely visual to the deeper more profound movement of the Spirit.
