We need to address this misleading concept of Ruth "shooting her shot" at Boaz. Let's dig deep into The Word (The Book of Ruth Chapter 2 & 3). What Ruth’s story in this chapter communicates to us is the value and benefit of godly obedience, abundance, respect, support, and honor.
Boaz definitely took the lead on this! He was a man of integrity, He noticed Ruth, spoke with her, praised her loyalty, and blessed her in God’s name. He made sure that the men working for him would be kind and leave her alone. He made sure that no one would mistreat or abuse her for being a foreigner. He gave her food from his own table and extra to take home to her mother-in-law. Boaz was a godly man, and his wisdom, uprightness and kindness earned him a noble spot in Biblical history.
