Listen "Restoring Felon Voting Rights"
Episode Synopsis
On Wednesday Aug. 5, Iowa Gov. Kim Reynolds signed an executive order that grants convicted felons the right to vote after they complete their sentences. This ends Iowa’s status of being the only remaining state to broadly deny voting rights to felons. We sit down with ACLU of Iowa Communications Director Veronica Lorson Fowler to discuss the impact this executive order has on the Iowa electorate.
