In the final weeks before Iowa schools open their doors, Governor Kim Reynolds laid out new guidelines for school districts to meet as they reopen amid the COVID-19 pandemic. While Reynolds has mandated that 50% of instruction must take place in person, many voiced their concern that Iowa hasn’t made enough progress in controlling the virus to return students to the classroom.
