Listen " Grief and Love: Things My Daughter Taught Me with Marnie Law"
Episode Synopsis
In this heart-filling episode of the Foundher Series, host Carrie Scollon sits down with writer Marnie Law, whose chapter in Volume 2 of the Light House Series: Beautiful Chaos shares the raw and courageous journey of a mother navigating the unimaginable—the loss of her daughter. Marnie speaks candidly about walking the tightrope between fear and hope during her daughter Christie’s diagnosis with T-cell ALL and a stem cell transplant at the start of the COVID pandemic. During this time of uncertainty—ripe with both fear and hope—Christie began blogging, making videos, and expressing herself through art. She launched the Leo Art Collective and found her voice with boldness, teaching her mother and reminding us all: you don’t have to be published to be a writer, and you don’t need permission to be an artist. Her message was, and continues to be: Own it. Don’t wait. This episode is a tribute to fierce love, creative healing, and the power of sharing our stories out loud. It’s also a call to action—register to be a stem cell donor at www.blood.ca and be part of someone else's story of hope.💛#Podcast #BeautifulChaosUseful ResourcesClick here to find links to follow all our guests.Click here to learn about FoundHer projects & events!
