Stella N. Lugalambi is co-founder of Hamwe East Africa Ltd and the company’s director since 2013. In this role, she has steered Hamwe from a start-up to an award-winning Ag-Fintech enterprise. Under her stewardship, the company has been recognized for its agritech innovations by the National ICT Initiatives Support Programme (NIISP) in Uganda. It has also won the Coffee Value Chain Traceability challenge by UNCDF and been among the top 12 winners of the Disruptive Agricultural Technology (DAT) challenge by the Ministry of Agriculture, Animal Industry and Fisheries (MAAIF) and the World Bank. Stella has worked with mobile value-added services (VAS) since 2007 with some of the leading VAS providers and in partnerships with most of the major telecom companies in the region.
