Why do people suffer? Often because of our own bad decisions. That’s why it’s so important to think with a divine viewpoint acquired by learning and applying the Word of God. As man, Jesus suffered as we do, and He handled it the same way we do. By staying filled with the Holy Spirit and using the faith-rest drill. Jesus was the Christian prototype. We can defeat Satan’s strategy to discredit, distract, destroy and discourage the same way Christ did. Apply Scripture. As Paul said, “I went through insults, distress, persecution and difficulties - all for Christ’s sake” (2 Cor 12:10). God always designs suffering for blessing even when suffering is divine discipline. His discipline is to get you to adjust your attitude, to get back into the plan of God. Acquiring the mind of Christ allows you to use your volitional responsibility more wisely as you advance in your spiritual life.
