Faith alone, in Christ alone, is how you get eternal life. “This is the record that God has given to us eternal life and this life is in His Son” (John 5:11-12). The issue is - do you believe in Jesus Christ? “He that believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God” (1 John 5:1). You can express your faith to God by simply praying, “Father, I believe that Jesus Christ is Your Son and I am willing to accept Him as my Savior.” Now you can be confident and say, “I know I am going to heaven when I die.” Yes, you can trust God and have confidence in His promise of giving you eternal life. “These things have I written to you that believe on the name of the Son of God [that’s you!] so that you may know you have eternal life” (1 John 5:13). Once saved, always saved. You can’t lose your salvation. Don’t look back in your life at your mistakes. God has wiped away all those past sins. Look forward. Christianity is a personal relationship with your Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
