Once saved, always saved. That’s eternal security. If you have believed in the Lord Jesus Christ as your Savior, by faith alone in Christ alone, you have eternal life. God will never take back the grace gift He gave you. Eternal security—knowing for a fact that you are going to heaven despite your flaws and failures—is an unbreakable relationship with God. Once in the family of God, you can’t be removed. “God has given to us eternal life and this life is in His Son. He who has the Son has eternal life and he who does not have the Son does not have eternal life. These things I’ve written unto you who believe in the person of the Son of God, in order that you may know [you may be confident] that you have eternal life” (1 John 5:11). “For He [God] made Him [Jesus Christ] the One who knew no sin [He was sinless] to be sin for us [took our place] so that we may become the righteousness of God in Him” (2 Cor 5:21).
