The readings for this week for 25th Sunday after Pentecost are: Ruth 3:1-5; 4:13-17, and Psalm 127, or 1 Kings 17:8-16 and Psalm 146, with Hebrews 9:24-28, and Mark 12:38-44.  This week we look at Marie Curie and what dedication she had to the sciences and helping all of us better understand the world around us.  Are we as people willing to do the same thing?  Are we willing to be that willing to sacrifice if called upon no matter what it is?
