The  SBA states that 30% of new businesses fail during the first two years  of being open, 50% during the first five years and 66% during the first  10. The SBA goes on to state that only 25% make it to 15 years or more.
The vast majority of startup funds (82 percent) came from the entrepreneur himself or herself, or family and friends.

77 percent of small businesses rely on personal savings for their initial funds.
40 percent of small businesses are profitable, 30 percent break even and 30 percent money.

I  don’t care what CEO/major you admire or what it looks like on the  outside, the journey of entrepreneurship has a high price tag and risks  including being willing to lose it all.
