Luke 9:37-50



In Luke 9.37–50, the disciples move from the mountaintop of glory to the valley of failure. They had authority, but lacked trust. Instead their faith was misplaced in technique and status. Jesus reminds us that the kingdom isn’t advanced by technique, position, or titles—but by raw faith, humble service, and a life submitted to his authority. True discipleship is not about chasing spiritual highs or memorizing incantations, but learning to trust and obey Jesus, welcoming the least, and carrying the cross he calls us to.
