Property prices are skyrocketing across the nation. With desirable suburbs in capital cities bearing the brunt of the current competition, medium to high-income buyers are forced out of their no. 1 suburb flowing onto alternative areas that aren’t ready for their price perception. The influx of the new buyers into unfamiliar areas, wear glasses with out-of-suburb lens’s, warping their idea of what’s worth what and causing unexpected price results as they compete against themself and competitive buyers. This new money has caused prices to soar in areas and property that would otherwise tell a different story if sold last year. The faucet is on, and as buyers flood the basin, the question lies, where will the water drain? In this episode, we are joined by Robert Clarke, the selling principal of Belle Property Annandale. We question the current state of property price expectations and their relation to a real estate agents marketing of price guides.
