Episode Synopsis "Put a Bit of GEPEP Into Your Breeding Program"

Myth busted - you can have a fat sheep which also cuts a lot of wool. How do we know this? Well, from the Genetic Evaluation: Productivity, Efficiency and Profitability (GEPEP) project of course! GEPEP is an add on trial to the Merino Lifetime Productivity project and evaluates the per hectare profitability of different sires based on feed conversion and fat depth. To explain more, The Sheep's Back spoke to GEPEP researchers Dr Andrew Thompson and Sarah Blumer. You can see previous GEPEP presentations on The Sheep's Back website.
